West Beirut est un film du réalisateur libanais Ziad Doueiry illustrant l'image de la vie d'adolescents durant la guerre civile libanaise. Le film commence avec les évènements qui ont déclenché la guerre civile en avril 1975. Doueiry montre la division confessionnelle au sein de Beyrouth à travers la vie de Tarek et son ami Omar. Alors que Tarek et son ami faisait des films avec leur caméra Super 8, la toile de fond de la guerre et de la division hante leur caméra. Avec le temps, l'image de la guerre pour les adolescents passait d'une aventure à une tragédie. Journée de pluie: 12 août

Voir ci-dessous pour les dates de projection de chaque film. En case de pluie, la projection sera reportée d'une semaine, la projection aura lieu au même endriot.

West Beirut is a drama by Lebanese filmmaker Ziad Doueiry that paints a dramatic picture of teenagers' lives during the Lebanese civil-war. The film begins as the first events which sparked the Lebanese civil war begin in April, 1975. Doueiry represents the partitioned Beirut along sectarian lines through the lives of Tarek and his friend Omar. While Tarek makes Super 8 movies with his friend, the backdrop of war and division haunt the camera. As he comes of age, the war moves inexorably from adventure to tragedy. Rain date: August 12th. If it is a raining the film will be screened the week after at the same location.
